Project Team Manager

Does logistics run in your blood and do you have extensive experience within Order Management, Compliance, Transport and Supply Chain? Do you have experience as a project manager and would you like to make a step and become a Teamlead?

The role

Based on-site at the customer's location, this position is responsible for leading cross functional projects across multiple teams (Order management, Compliance, Transport, Supply Chain), multiple vendors and multiple business units globally. For each project, the Project Lead will be responsible for creating and managing a project plan with tasks and ownership set against business requirements. The Project Team Manager will manage the project teams spread across different sites in APAC and EMEA.

Overview of duties & responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and expand the relationship with the customer
  • Build business cases to support any logistics changes
  • Work on longer term process improvements & documentation
  • Manage Team performances and drive improvements
  • Work with team members on career development and trainings
  • Create and manage plans based on business requirements
  • Present project status reports to major stakeholders and internal teams
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s)
  • Lead the project team and provide all the required support
  • Be able to proactively escalate risks / delays associated to a project
  • Support the implementation of the company's’ culture within the team
  • Review & amend the processes and procedures where required
  • Develop “best practice” methodology internal and external systems

What you bring to the role of Project Team Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years experience in project management role
  • People management experience
  • Previous experience in managing cross functional projects
  • Effective communication skills & negotiations
  • Ability to define, develop & document business processes and procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self starter and the ability to work in a fast pace environment
