The Role:
Tradewin is an international trade consultancy providing creative and effective solutions and guidance in the areas of customs regulation, logistics and trade data management. Our services include consulting in the areas of import and export compliance, classification, tariff preference, tax mitigation and supply chain security.
As a Strategic Consultant, you will assist and support the ongoing development, delivery and flawless execution of standardized and compliant trade advisory services to Tradewin's clients. Our staff includes licensed customs brokers, lawyers, accountants and industry experts in Europe, North America, Australia and Asia. As one team, we work to assess complicated situations, navigate through a forest of regulations and implement solutions that meet both the letter of the law and the spirit of the client's business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the strategic development, delivery and implementation of standardized, compliant trade compliance services;
  • Actively engage in client projects to ensure accurate and timely delivery;
  • Maintain records for functional areas of responsibility;
  • Quickly escalate issues and resolve complex problems;
  • Effective collaboration and solid communication with internal and external parties;
  • Continually seek improvements in procedures and services to create more efficient and cost effective operations;
  • Assist in the collection of accounts receivable;
  • Be actively involved in the sales process;
  • Meet the company standard of 52 hours of training per year;
  • Be committed to the success of Tradewin by conducting business ethically at all times;
  • Support customer accounts on-site on a minimum of 2 days per week;

What you bring to the role of Strategic Consultant:
  • Good attitude and excellent communication skills;
  • Understanding of international trade;
  • Understanding of European Union regulations;
  • Proven ability to develop, implement and maintain standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement;
  • Proven ability to evaluate the performance of internal and external service providers;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with external and internal customers to gather information, and coordinate projects to anticipate and meet customer needs;
  • Ability to work under stress and problem solve, enabling teams and individuals to meet and exceed client deadlines;
  • Completed Customs training is a plus;
  • Knowledge of and experience using MS Excel is a plus;
  • Accounting background is a plus.
