Air Import Customer Service Agent

As an Agent at Expeditors you will be part of an international and ambitious team with a passion for international logistics. Do you want to be part of this team? Then come and work as an Agent at Expeditors!

The Role:
We import numerous products in Europe. As an Import Customs Agent you are responsible for making the import process as efficient as possible while providing exceptional service to our customers. This position is open at our Schiphol office and is fully focused on airfreight shipments that need to be distributed from the airport to the customer. In this position you are responsible for interactively and proactively arranging import freight shipments. Beforehand you make sure that all import documentation is in order and you assist the customs department with the clearance process. In addition, you are involved in the import airfreight process and you are looking for the best ways to improve the operational process and to work more efficient and productive.

The Expeditors Agent:
At Expeditors you start your career as an Agent and from here you can grow (in height) or specialize (in width). Your fellow Agents characterize themselves as a diverse group of people with different backgrounds; you have colleagues who come from the hospitality industry, have studied commercial economics or perhaps have just completed a trip around the world. Despite this diversity, there is something they all have in common: they have a passion for customer service, a strong interest in international logistics and always want to get the best out of themselves and others. You like to figure things out on your own and get energy from the fact that not everything is always 100% tuned/worked out. Can you see yourself in this? Then Expeditors might be a great place to work!

We do not link work and thinking skills to education. At Expeditors there is room for everyone. What we do find important is that you meet the right competencies: structured, customer-oriented, proactive and intrinsically motivated to do better than the rest. In addition, of course, you must have the ability to work within a constantly moving, international work environment.

What you also bring to the role of Air Import Customer Service Agent:

  • You are available full time;

  • You speak and write fluent English;

  • Intrinsic motivation to do better than others and;

  • You bring a good dose of humor, energy and positivity!

Your workplace:
You will work in a modern environment with young, enthusiastic and international colleagues who are ready to help each other. At the office you will find all the facilities to do your job well: open plan offices with height-adjustable desks, luxury boardrooms but also coffee corners and a company restaurant with a wide range of products. Furthermore, fun activities are regularly organized, such as culture days, (soccer) matches and other outings.

Expeditors as an employer:
